Frequently Asked Questions
When and Where can I take this exam?
Each state is different. In Indiana, you can begin after graduation - NOT BEFORE - and you have 1 year from when you start to complete it. Once the board emails you , you have 14 days to complete your jurisprudence exam. The exam can be taken at your home since it is emailed.
Does passing CDCA / other regional board allow you to work without taking the jurisprudence exam?
No - each state requires some jurisprudence exam and it is unique. Licensure varies per state; contact the state dental board for details on that process. If you need help contacting your state’s dental board, please feel free to contact “IDA Jay” Dwizlik.
I’m going to a Residency / Graduate Program
You may or may not need to take a specific jurisprudence exam depending upon licensure requirements for the program. Contact your program to point you in the right direction.
