Established in 2020, the Cosmetic Dentistry Student Interest Group is a unique club at IUSD that offers students a chance to learn about concepts in cosmetic dentistry that may otherwise be outside the scope of our typical didactic classes and labs. Our club organizes hands-on workshops, informational seminars, and study groups throughout the year. For our informational seminars, we invite experts in the field to discuss concepts in facial injectables, dental photography, complex cosmetic case management, and much more. Our hands-on workshops take place in the bench and sim lab where we learn skills from prepping and creating composite veneers to closing diastemas. And finally, our study groups are designed to bring students together to talk about cosmetic-focused cases they are working on in the clinic, topics they are learning in class, and cutting edge advancements in cosmetic dentistry.
